[Harc] noise signal at 147.250MHz

Greetings all:

I did some work on my shack today and turned the scan on my VHF rig.  I
kept hearing noise on 147.250 at over S9--this is the frequency of the
Brookings repeater that has been down for some time.  I just confirmed
with ka6ulg that he too is getting a pretty strong signal at his QTH.  I
can't hear it on my HT with a rubber attenuator, but I do hear it on all
my external antennas.

Can any one else confirm?
