Subject: Humboldt Grange Event - Understanding the December 20, 2023Earthquake Sequence

March 16th 5:30 p.m. Understanding the December 20, 2023 Earthquake Sequence. 
Hear from local geologists about the earthquakes of December 20, 2022 and January 1, 2023.  What happened and what we can expect in the future. Local Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT) will share what you can do to help prepare, and how to respond to local events. Speakers will address the psychological and mental health aspects of responding to a disaster, and hear from local Emergency Responders and local and State Offices of Emergency Services (OES). Also hear from the National Weather Service and plans for the upcoming Tsunami Awareness Week (March 27th – 31st) and plans for the next King Salmon Tsunami Evacuation drill scheduled for next fall. 

There will be a hosted Tsunami Tspaghetti Dinner served.  Come for dinner, stay for the science.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Presentations at 6:30 p.m.
The Humboldt Grange is located at 5845 Humboldt Hill Road, South Eureka.
