Hello,
If you are interested in any information regarding Winter Field Day, please
continue reading. If you have any questions regarding this event, contact
me directly. Questions sent "back to the reflector" may not be answered.

I, you, we, will be operating radios in Blue Lake, CA this weekend. Here is
a link to a map https://caltopo.com/m/C0VFC/D0R5MG47V0E4V413 (thanks
Anthony, KG6LHW) that shows the desired site layout. Take note of the "day
use" parking area, and the approach direction.

We need individuals to help set up the tower and beam antenna, and tear
down. 730am arrival to setup and test the beam antenna, erect tower, and
deploy dipole antennae.

*Site safety:*
Anticipate inclement weather, there will be wet grass and mud. Bring
appropriate attire.
Trees and bushes may be wrapped in leafless Poison Oak vines, which are
just as potent as their leafy selves, and much harder to identify!

*Radio Operations:*
All amateur bands, *except 12m,17m,30m, & 60m*, may be used for this event.
This is an excellent opportunity for technician participation.

I desire to be digitally dextrous. For this event each digital mode worked
on each band worked counts as 1 multiplier for the points total.

We will be using the N3FJP logging application, in a networked
configuration. If you plan to bring and use a logging computer, please
ensure you have the latest version of the software: Winter Field Day 2.8.7
it can be found at this website if you need to update: N3FJP's Amateur
Radio Software <https://n3fjp.com/winterfieldday.html>. Ideally your
logging computer will have an ethernet port, to connect to the wired
network. If you only have a wireless connection it may not work
consistently.
Some information to aid in "setting up" N3FJP day of:
Common Fields:

   1. We will use the club call sign W6ZZK.
   2. Our location is 40.88, -124.00

Required Fields:

   1. Class is _O, (#will be determined just before the event starts
depending on how many simultaneous operating transmitters we have on site.)
   2. ARRL Section is SF.

Optional Fields: (These fields should be updated throughout the day if
radio operators change, using the Operator tab at the top of the N3FJP
screen)

   1. Your/the radio operator's callsign
   2. Your/the radio operator's initials

Thank you for your patience,
73,
Ben Adams
