Peter,
I'm a certified building inspector and I used to work for the county. The weight of the antenna plus mast may be to much for the PVC/ABS pipe used as the vent or it may tear or move the roof jack (the part that makes it waterproof) in a large wind event like we just had. Just my 2 cents I don't want you to have a broken vent or a leaking roof. I just finished chemotherapy and I'm relearning how to walk or I would come and move it for you myself.

Respectfully,

Subject: [Harc] Roof Climber needed

I would like to try and raise the height of my VHF/UHV antenna (Diamond X50). It's currently mounted on a vent pipe, and I have a 4' mast section that I hope will fit into the vent so the antenna can then be remounted on the mast section. I have a 20' extension ladder to get you on the roof. It's moderately pitched (Jim Armstrong did the original install for me). This is not an urgent task, and should be done on a dry mid-day with a dry roof. Please let me know if you can help, and I'll make sure I can find the mast section. I live in Eureka near the Water Tower.
