[Harc] Upcoming BEACON Exercise May 1, 2025

There is still time to register for the Exercise.  It will begin at 10:00
am and involves a simulated earthquake that disrupts communications.  Local
CERT teams will be activated, and I'll be calling simulated emergency nets
and taking simulated damage/casualty reports on the Far West System and
also on HF, 3.955 MHz.  Please register here

There are several roles, but if you're planning on checking into the nets
you'd register as a Player.  If you would like to take on another role (for
example, Observer at an operational site), please contact me.  You can also
contact Greg Waters by email (gwaters at co.humboldt.ca.us) or phone (707)
268-2502 during normal business hours, and he'll be happy to assist you in
understanding your role and getting ready for the exercise.

We are trying to get an accurate count of how many hams will be
participating, so signing up is important.  Also, it will give you access
to the exercise documents that contain more information about what is going
to happen.  Registration ends Monday April 21
