Hi everyone,

In the interest of making HF more accessible to folks with a technician
license, this seems like a good opportunity to plug the QRP Labs QMX+
<https://qrp-labs.com/qmxp.html> CW/SSB/Digi-mode transceiver. This is an
affordable but high quality kit you can build with relatively minimal
soldering experience and opens up bands from 160m - 6m. Of course,
technician-class stations can operate on part of 10m and all of 6m, and
bits of other bands if you are into CW. Importantly, techs can *listen* on
all bands which alone is a lot of fun, easy with simple cheap wire
antennas, and motivation for upgrading.

I recently built this kit, and am happy to assist others who might be
interested. It's QRP so 3-5 Watts depending on how you wind your filter
toroids, but I think QRP is a fun challenge—I recently "activated" Trinidad
State Beach for Parks On The Air using 3 Watts on SSB and it was really
exciting. I'm going to try HF Winlink as soon as I have some time to figure
it out.
