[Harc] Volunteers needed Sept. 12th 7am-4pm, Mad River Enduro (Blue Lake Mtn Bike Race)

[ben adams]

Hello,

If you are interested in volunteering for this event on Saturday September
12th, please reply to kk6syj at arrl.net to let me know.

who: You & about Redwood Coast Mountain Bike Association
<https://www.redwoodcoastmtb.org/>
what: 2026 RCMBA Mad River Enduro — Redwood Coast Mountain Bike Association
<https://www.redwoodcoastmtb.org/upcoming-events/2025-mad-river-enduro>
when: Sept 12th, 7am - at least 4pm, later if you want to stay for food,
drink, and raffle.
Where: Blue Lake, CA. On Green Diamond property near the fish hatchery on
hatchery road.
Why: Our mission, should you choose to accept, is to QUICKLY notify the
start line timers to hold the start, in the event of a rider going down on
a stage/course. We also get to practice radio skills outside in the trees,
and watch some very talented mountain bike riders at the same time.

The deployment positions are mostly static. A good HT, and a camp chair,
sunscreen, hat, bug spray, and maybe a dust mask if you are sensitive to
dust levels. are useful tools from past deployments.

Thanks,
Ben  kk6syj at arrl.net
