Greetings, fellow club members!

I've been working on a new About HARC page, based on the previous one.
Here's the work-in-progress link, not yet linked to the menu system yet:

https://www.humboldt-arc.org/about-harc/

If you read carefully, I've added a few things. I've started writing an
article called 'Why Radio?', but it turned into a much larger question than
I expected, so I'm going to start re-working breaking it into sections,
which will become the start of the 'educational' section of the site.

I would love to 'capture' all the talks and lectures we give and add them
to the catalog, but until we can do that, I'll write up some Radio 101
stuff. Here's some ideas for articles, if any one here is interested in
writing one:

* Radio call signs, Q codes, and jargon, demystified.
* What does that 'band conditions' info dump mean?
* What is 'software defined radio', and how do I get into it?
* The History of Radio (discovery, experimentation, etc)
* The History of Radio (Equipment design and commercial successes)
* Radio astronomy 101: Photons of a different color
* So I want to transmit. Why license?
* How 100 watts gets across the world.
* Solar weather and You!
* Why Nets?

If anyone happens to have any resources along those lines, or in lines I
haven't thought of, please feel free to share it with me.

Hope you are enjoying this rain!
