I had one of those in Junior High.  A 100' long wire antenna from the rooftop to a tree, and I listened to the world. I don't want this one, though, as pretty as it is.  The paper capacitors are almost certainly shot, and there's little to nothing on SW anymore. I'm NOT a collector, lol. Greg Waters - KJ6OUI will be doing a presentation on the past and upcoming BEACON coastal radio exercise at the beginning of the meeting. We need someone to step up and run the HARC weekly net for September ( Wednesdays at 7:00pm ). I will have an updated HARC roster I can email to whoever would like one. I do not know if David KN6CEH is still traveling and can not at this time put the new roster up on the HARC website. Regarding the HARC website: We now have online payment capabilities for both dues and general financial donations. I have personally used the feature to renew my HARC membership ( due September 1st ) and it was super easy. I was provided via email a receipt for tax purposes and even a numbered HARC membership card that I ended printing for myself. ( Again Many thanks to Emily KN6ZWG, Richard KN6RK and David KN6CEH for making this feature possible! ) https://www.humboldt-arc.org/about/membership-application/ If you prefer to attend the HARC meeting via ZOOM here is the link: https://humboldtstate.zoom.us/j/82507055155?pwd=enl1bnFYakN1TVRpdmFyenI5czl2QT09 Looking forward to seeing you all at the meeting, Randy Terra KN6NSK HARC President -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
