I have a like-new Yaesu SSM-17A that I bought for my FT-60R ht, tested it
once, and then sold the FT-60 and replaced it with a VX6R.  I'd hoped to
get an adapter cable to use the SSM-17A with my VX-6, but Yaesu
doesn't make one (I couldn't find an after-market cable either).

So the SSM-17A is for sale for $35.  It fits the following Yaesu radios:
FT3D, FT5D, FT1XD, VX-8, FT-70D, FT-60R, VX-3

Of course, you'll be able to test it with your radio before purchasing.
