It's a Rohn 25G tower that is 50' tall with a 5' top piece and a base plate. It's not safe to climb on so it'll need to come down from the top using a manlift. Jay Fenton (KJ6WSS) came out and wrote up a lengthy evaluation of the tower and what it'll take to take it down and he's got the needed equipment to do that (minus the manlift). So for the price of renting a manlift (about $550) from Sunbelt in Fortuna, one could have a nice tower. If anyone is interested in this you can contact me directly by email or phone. I currently have a Netgear mesh system, so my wifi can reach my security camera above my garage door.  (This has a satellite unit in my garage). I am about to switch to Vero fiber, which will not work with my current router/modem box.  I need to get a new router, and my router must remain at one corner of my house.  So, it's about 60' and two walls from my camera. There's so much hype to wade through, regarding beam-forming, house size, etc, that I decided to ask for advice from any folks who have larger homes. If: - Your house is in the 2500 square feet and up range; - Your router is NOT anywhere near the center of your house; - Yet, your router provides good coverage throughout your house, and through more than one internal wall; - Your router is wifi7, with at least one 10GB ethernet port. Then: What router are you using?  What do you like & not like about it? Thanks, mucho. Friday W6FRI -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:
