*Earlier this month, we received a surprise in the mail from Parker White:
a set of photographs labeled "The Art Kinetic Parade in Ferndale-1973."*

Kinetic sculpture racing began in 1969, and over the decades it has grown
into a beloved tradition shaped by countless artists, engineers,
volunteers, and spectators. These photos capture an early chapter of that
story, when the race was still finding its form but already full of
imagination, laughter, and community spirit.

We’re sharing them with you as a thank-you. Your support helped make this
year’s race a great one, and just like the people captured in these images
more than 50 years ago, you are part of what keeps Kinetic Universe
evolving, enduring, and glorious.
